    lspci | grep Mellanox  - how old is old.

    tempelma

      Good morning,

      Could you kindly help me find out how old this card in our Linux machine?

      Our server is very slow in running MPP jobs.

      lshal | grep system.hardware

        system.hardware.product = 'C2112-4GP3'  (string)

        system.hardware.vendor = 'SGI.COM'  (string)

        system.hardware.version = '0123456789'  (string)

      Is this system really considered old already?

          Get is PSID (or board_id) using ethtool X (if Ethernet where x is the interface #) or ibv_devinfo (if InfiniBand).
          Google it to see its capabilities. Also in the same output is the firmware revision. A Google search should bring you to the Mellanox firmware download page where you can compare the current FW rev to the most recent FW revision available.
